In this several-part series, we are discussing critical legal risks that must be addressed by every entrepreneurial woman to make sure her hard work and assets are protected as she grows and operates her company or small business. This is part three, and it deals with the third symptom that your small business could face big legal trouble. Thankfully, the entire point of this series is to provide you with quick and easy cures, so if you will stick with me through the whole of this series, you will come away with a powerful plan of action to protect yourself and your business!
Symptom Three: You don’t have a separate bank account for your business
There are several options available to help you prepare for this important milestone; however, 529 College Savings Plans have revolutionized the way investors save for college. The plans offer both flexibility and control and provide benefits that other education savings programs don’t offer.
If you need more sales you don’t necessarily need better sales techniques, you need more friends. Just refer to what Bob Burg calls “The Golden Rule of Networking”: “All things being equal, people will do business with, and refer business to, those people they know, like and trust.”
Have you ever walked on board a plane or stepped into your hotel room or walked through a foreign city and wished you had something with you that reminded you of home?
Ever feel frumpy, dumpy, and all around blah? Hey, we all do! 8 Years ago, I gave birth to my son. The little stinker (and daily caramel sundae’s) made me gain 60 pounds, and I felt like the frumpiest, most useless person in the world. I’d forget rudimentary business details, and just felt plain ol’ fat and sluggish. But bless the nice sales people at a store I went into for saying how fabulous I looked even though I had just given birth. A day or two later someone else said something really nice to me. At first I did what you’ve probably done too…I brushed it off. Denied it. Humphed, and said, “yeah right.” But after the 3rd compliment I had a stroke of genius (yes even in that sleep deprived state). And suddenly I said something foreign. I said…..”Thank you.” That was it. And then I thought, well with all of these nice things people are saying, I’d better write this all down before I forget. And so the Compliment Journal was born!
You could spend your whole day doing social media ~ I’ve built an entire company around doing that. However, eight hours spent on Facebook does not actually bring in business if you’re not doing it strategically. So today, let’s talk about the things you need to do daily if you’re going to make money from social media.
I’m about to make your life so much easier.
No secret, I’m a big fan of farmer’s markets. I especially enjoy going this time of year because of the tomatoes. Yes, I LOVE these babies that taste sweeter than anything you can buy in the “regular” grocery store. Of course, many of you grow your own and quite frankly, I’m jealous. Unfortunately, I did not inherit my dad’s green thumb, so instead, you’ll find me trolling the aisles of the market coveting the romas, beefsteaks, cherries & heirlooms. When I get my hands on these beauties, I LOVE to make salsa. You can’t beat FRESH salsa with super sweet tomatoes. My recipe’s got a little “kick” just enough to spice up your meal. Perfect with chips, tacos, fish, grilled chicken, tri-tip and more. Not only does it taste fabulous, it adds gorgeous color to any dinner table. Viva La Sassy Salsa!
