Krisz,

Yes, plans are important. I find it interesting that the people who do have a strategic plan in place often fail to have a comprehensive marketing plan which is just as important.

Thanks for weighing in here.

Write on!~

Great blogpoast Lisa, thank you for sharing your valuable insights.
According to a 2007 American Family Business Survey, only 36.6% of
family-owned businesses in the U.S. have a written strategic plan. => 63% have no plan at all, and according to the survey, the data has not changed much in the last 20 years. I was really amazed when I first read about these numbers as they are huge (63% having no strategic plan).

Remember, if you don’t know where you’re going, how are you going to get there?

Cathy, you are so right about this. I always sing high praises for live events! They are the reason I am able to grow my business. The connections I make are always worth the investment in time and money. I can never imagine who I am going to cross paths with or how we are going to impact each others' lives and businesses, but the reach is always long lasting and far.

A friend of mine has a live event on her calendar every quarter! That is serious commitment to growth. Besides, we all need business expenses and you might as well go someplace fun!

Hi Cathy, I agree! There's something truly magical about in-person connection. We live in a high-tech world bringing everyone that much closer and despite Skype video chats, livestream, etc... when you can give someone a hug that you've become friends with online - WOW! And with no Shine event for 2012 I suspect a whole lotta women will be packing their bags for Success Summit in Dallas! :)

Cathy, you are so right - you aren't truly living until you are living outside your comfort zone. We must force ourselves into unchartered waters and continue to swim into places we never thought were truly possible. The theme of this week I'm seeing is: Anything is Possible! Your post just reinforces it. Thanks for sharing the importance of stepping out and being around other people who support you in your growth! xo

True Angelique, a stylist can help - but if I had to rank, the stylist would be 2nd on the list. Photographer, makeup artist, and model are all #1. It's hard to go wrong with basic black - although BOLD and bright colors are my first choice. Thanks for sharing Angelique!

Hello from Montana,

Wow, am I glad I got this email today. This is the second article that was directed to me personally. I sometimes forget to send a weekly email out to my list because I think I might be bothering them!!!! Hello, even I know that is a lame excuse.

I have a message to share, so I had better be consistent and newsworthy when I share it.

Thanks for the tips and kick in the butt.
